In Matthew 28, Jesus lays out the mission of the Church. He says, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

With Jesus' words in mind, Crossway Community Church founded [M28] at UNCC in 2001.  We get our name and our three core beliefs from this passage:

 

Jesus is King.

 

He's building his Church.

 

He's calling us to join his mission. 

 

[M28] exists to proclaim and demonstrate the Good News of Jesus on the campus of UNCC. Our goal is to be a Christian community where students can explore the truth claims of the Gospel, who Jesus is and what he has done, what he is doing, and wrestle with Jesus' call to discipleship. Our passion is that students come to know the joy of loving Jesus, growing as a disciple in the context of the local church, and joining Jesus on his mission.

 

The harvest is plentiful at UNCC. Our prayer is that many students have to opportunity to respond to the Gospel as we continue to labor on this campus for the fame of Jesus and the good of generations to come.
